2001 Modeling an Evaporator using a Dynamic Fuzzy Neural Network (DFNN)
This paper discusses a novel approach in modeling the evaporator of an experimental refrigerator plant. Identification of dynamics of the evaporator is accomplished in this study based on a combination of a Dynamic Fuzzy Neural Network (DFNN) based sub model and a set of conservation equations for enthalpy and mass for the plate type ammonia refrigerant evaporator with brine as the secondary fluid. A biologically inspired DFNN is proposed to improve the effectiveness of dynamics identification while simplifying the process. As a result, the evaporator model is completed with less computational complexity. The validation of the developed model is demonstrated using experimental data.
